I remember when I first met Mary Beth. It was at my daughter Michelle’s engagement party we had dinner together and I was very impressed by her, she was so sweet and we had a great conversation. A few years later after Victoria Hill decided not to sing Riding by Christmas Lights I asked Michelle if she knew any female singers and she recommended Mary Beth. She said, ‘She is really good Dad, she sings for her Church’ and she sent me a video. My co-writer and producer Stuart and I thought she sounded great! We asked her to do it and she accepted. We talked about the song over the phone a little and she came to the studio so well prepared. She nailed it like the first two takes and then proceeded to add all kinds of fills and feel to it! She really made it her own and I could not be happier with the way she sings it. She really captured the country/pop feel and I just love hearing her every time I play it! God works in great ways! ~
